Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Corenova Technologies Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria ("Corenova", "we"), operator of the Provelt platform. By creating an account, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Provelt.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts. You agree that all information you provide (including identity documents) is true and belongs to you.

2. Account, passkey, and identity verification

Registration requires a verified email, a mandatory passkey (WebAuthn), and completed identity verification (government ID + liveness check). You are responsible for keeping your passkeys, devices, and recovery contacts secure. You must not share your account.

3. Roles

• Workers offer verified skilled services (electrical work, engineering, design, writing, etc.).
• Employers post gigs and bounties, pay into escrow, and approve delivery.
• Corenova is a neutral marketplace and is not the employer of any worker. No employment relationship arises from use of the Service.

4. Fees and payments

• Bounties and gigs are funded into escrow through Stripe. The platform fee is 10 % of the reward, deducted at payout.
• A worker who cancels an accepted gig without cause pays a US$5 compensation fee to the employer.
• Elite Verified status costs US$300 and does not guarantee any earnings.
• Badge-tier upgrade fees (US$5–US$100) are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Prohibited conduct

• No fraud, impersonation, or fake identity documents.
• No spoofing the liveness check (masks, printed photos, deepfakes, pre-recorded video, virtual cameras).
• No harassment, hate speech, threats, or unsafe on-site conduct.
• No off-platform payments to evade fees, and no requesting payment before escrow funding.
• No scraping, reverse-engineering, or automated access without permission.

6. Content and IP

You retain ownership of the work you submit. By posting, you grant Corenova a limited licence to display it on your public proof profile and share it with the counterparty of the relevant gig / bounty. Employers own the deliverables for bounties they fund, subject to full payment.

7. Escrow and dispute resolution

Funds sit in a Stripe-managed escrow until the employer approves delivery. Either party may file a safety report. Corenova's decision on release, refund, or partial split is final for platform purposes, without prejudice to your legal rights.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, safety concerns, or legal order. You may delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Danger zone.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that any specific gig, bounty, or worker will be available, safe, profitable, or error-free. You use the Service at your own risk. Corenova is not liable for the acts or omissions of any user.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Corenova's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Service is capped at the greater of (a) fees you paid Corenova in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$100.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Lagos, Nigeria, without prejudice to any non-waivable consumer rights in your country of residence.

12. Changes

Material changes take effect 14 days after in-app notice. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance.
